Here is an interesting fact about this flower:
The german name Scharbockskraut comes from the german word Skorbut which means scurvy. The leaves of this plant were given to people suffering from scurvy because they contain a high amount of vitamin C.

A beautiful little flower, and a very detailed description of it's history.  I'm half-German, and I should ask my family about this flower and see if they know of it. :)
